To be a Menteri Besar must be very profitable, so much so that Khir Toyo had a 50 000 sq ft mansion.
For comparison, Zakaria Deros' mansion "only" measured at 43,000 sq feet.
that is a different of a cool 7000 sq feet.
And take this - DAP’s Ng See Lim claimed that the house, with "Balinese architecture with furniture from Bail, and it also has a pool", cost some cool RM 24 million.
And compare this with Khir's estimated salary over his 8 years tenure as Menteri Besar of RM 4.6 million. Consider also that a Menteri Besar is barred from having business.
Wow.
But let us hear from Khir.
Khir said he bought the house for "only" RM 3.5 million with a loan from HSBC.
But Ng, with documents from State Land Department, "said Dr Khir had purchased one lot measuring of 31,794 sq feet for RM2.9 million while another lot measuring 20,427 sq feet was purchased for RM900,000." The two lots was used to build the mansion.
Now, you tell me, who is telling the truth? Khir who made bare assertion or the guy who produces documents?
