SHAH ALAM, July 19 – A police forensics team returned to the Selangor Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters in Plaza Masalam here as part of investigations into the death of Teoh Boon Hock.
A team of between 10 and 15 officers from the Police College in Cheras were seen entering the MACC office on the 14th floor of the building about 5.15pm.
The team is believed to be part of the task force set up to probe the suspicious death of 30-year-old Teoh, whose death has sparked widespread condemnation of the law enforcement authorities.
The political secretary of Selangor executive councillor Ean Yong Hian Wah was found dead last Thursday on a balcony, on the 5th floor of the building after a marathon session of questioning by the MACC over alleged corruption in the Selangor Pakatan Rakyat (PR) government. The team were seen looking out of the office window on the 14th floor before removing and taking a window ledge.
They also went into the building’s security control room on the fourth floor and are believe to have some recording equipment.
The team, led by Selangor CID deputy chief Assistant Commissioner Omar Mamah, only emerged from the building at about 8pm.
“This is not a raid but a revisit to the scene,” Omar told waiting reporters.
Although today is a Sunday, MACC officers were aware that police were coming and cooperated fully.
According to the MACC, Teoh was questioned until 3.45am on Thursday before being released but was last seen sleeping on a sofa at their office at 6am. Police have not ruled out foul play but the case is still classified as “sudden death”.
